Japanese Flowering Crab Apple
The single flowers start as bright crimson-pink buds, opening to soft pink and white. The stamens are a contrasting light yellow. These beautiful flowers are produced in abundance, covering the graceful branches. Small fruit. Foliage is bright green turning yellow in autumn.
Tree care: Plant in a well drained a well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
