Mouse Melon (also known as cucamelon) is a annual vine producing masses of small green oval fruit to 3cm long. Has a typical crunchy cucumber taste and texture with a sweet flavour and some tart. Native to Mexico, heavy producer over a long period. Use in salads as you would a cucumber or toss in stir frys. Mouse melon is excellent for pickling in vinegar and mustard seeds for some punch.
Likes a full sun position and will handle part shade. Allow to grow as a runner on the ground or provide a structure to climb on.
